The first Lighthouse Networking Event of 2013 will take place on Friday 1 February at the Amari Orchid, on Pattaya Beach Road.

The event is arranged by the Lighthouse Club Pattaya Branch, which is a network charity community for business professionals across the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand, an organization which is regarded with respect and affection throughout every branch of the construction industry.

The roots of the Lighthouse Club stretch back to 1956 when it was formed in Newcastle, England by Eddie Ward as a way for people involved in the construction industry to network with one another. In the Sixties, the organisation also developed a benevolent fund for the disadvantaged, particularly those in the construction industry.  Today the Lighthouse Club features branches across the globe and has over 10,000 members.

The Pattaya branch of the Lighthouse Club was originally established in 2005 and began to arrange regular networking events from June 2007.  From its humble beginnings, when just 20-30 people working in the local real estate business met informally over a few beers, the Club’s regular events have become the most popular and well-supported business mixers arranged in Pattaya, attracting several hundred guests each time.  No longer entirely the preserve of the real estate and construction industries, the event now attracts visitors from a wide range of business sectors and is considered to be the essential event for professionals to attend if they are serious about making new contacts.

February’s event starts at 6.00pm sharp and will continue until 8.30pm.  The admission is THB 500 per person and includes a finger buffet together with unlimited drinks (while stocks last).

As is the case with all networking events organized by the Lighthouse Club, all of the proceeds from the event go to charity.  Sponsors of this month’s event are Legacy of Legends, a charitable organisation which continues the legacy of legendary heroes, touring and hosting charity events that raise money to support charities that change lives for the better.
